TheEnd 1.0

Download

A light, free tool to avoid renaming mistakes in Windows XP file extensions.

Sometimes when you want to rename a file in Windows XP you make a mistake and changed not only the name but also the extension. The problem then is that the file (for example if it's a RAR extension) isn't left decompressed. To avoid these conflicts a free program called TheEnd has been created. It's very light, and is responsible for changing the behaviour of Windows XP when renaming files, doing the same thing that Windows Vista does in this matter.

Using TheEnd makes it impossible to rename incorrectly. The F2 key still works as a shortcut to change the file names.
